Stay And Play During The PGA Tour's 12th Annual Reno-Tahoe Open, July 12-18 PDF Print E-mail

RENO, Nev.  – Make this summer special with a trip to the scenic Reno-Tahoe region during the PGA TOUR’s only West coast summer stop, the Reno-Tahoe Open, offering spectators affordable stay and play packages for the 12th annual tournament, July 12-18.

Take part in the PGA TOUR action at northern Nevada’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Golf Course, Montrêux Golf & Country Club, just minutes from the white sand beaches of Lake Tahoe and an action-packed downtown Reno featuring fine dining and entertainment. Steal a deal as packages include tickets to the tournament and accommodations at select Reno-Tahoe resorts from $49 - $79 per person throughout tournament week, available now at www.RenoTahoeOpen.com or by calling 866-928-GOLF (866-928-4653).

In addition to great PGA TOUR play, take part in other activities throughout the course with the tournament’s   increased schedule of events including the first-ever Reno-Tahoe Open Women’s Day presented by Barrick Gold of North America and featuring golf demonstrations by LPGA Hall of Famers Annika Sorenstam and Patty Sheehan, followed by an outdoor expo and lunch adjacent to the tournament’s ninth hole. Supporting this year’s beneficiary, the Nevada Military Support Alliance, tournament week events also include a Patriots’ Luncheon presented by Erlach Computer Consulting, LLC, honoring those who serve in the military, an on-site military museum, which is open to the public; a Patriots’ Outpost on the 18th fairway open to Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty personnel and a Medal of Honor display. In addition, children can take part in the Soldier for the Day program, allowing young spectators to test those geocaching skills by using coordinated points to find stations hosted by various branches of military throughout the course and collect military-inspired toys including a post to create personalized dog tags.

The tournament also offers up all the annual crowd favorites this year including a sampling of top-notch wine during the Beringer Wine Walk, the infamously fun Fiesta Loco featuring a seating area on the 16th green along with its taco and burrito bar, fan-favorite Mariachi Band and of course, the always-in-demand margarita and tequila bar (menu prices apply).  Fun for the kids abounds in the annual KNPB Kidz Par-Tee Zone presented by International Cash Distributors and featuring bounce houses, snacks, a putting green and more. In addition to annual fan favorites, feed the appetite at the Awful Awful burger station, serving up one of Reno’s favorite burgers, and be sure to check out the Renegades’ first on-course event, The Hump presented by Champion Chevrolet, located at the intersection of holes 17 and 11, a prime seat for catching all the best PGA TOUR action. For just $20, patrons of the Hump are the first to experience this exclusive viewing environment featuring a circle bar pouring top shelf selections, a private lounge area and flat-screen TV’s throughout to make sure golf fans don’t miss a moment of the Reno-Tahoe Open action.
