The Golf Connection USA, a Weatherford, TX-based cross media marketing company specializing in golf, has announced that it will conduct the Pairs in Paradise Golf Tournament July 18-24 in Guanacaste, Costa Rica in conjunction with Costa Rica Golf Adventures.

Couples will be paired by blind draw to form foursomes for an 18-hole competition where the two best balls net will count in a mixer on July 19 at Reserva Conchal, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design located at the Paradius Playa Conchal Resort. The par 71 course features ravines and lakes that create many risk-reward opportunities.

Following an optional practice round on July 20, the first round of two of the pairs competition will unfold on July 21 at Hacienda Pinilla, a Mike Young design. The par 72 course is links style where golfers get chances to try bump and run shots and get many glimpses of the ocean.

The second round of the tournament will follow on July 22 at Reserva Conchal. The format will be best-ball net for 36 holes with an overall winner declared plus prizes for male-female, male-male and female-female combinations.

Ground packages will include six nights accommodations at either the all-inclusiveParadius Playa Conchal or the Tamarindo Diara, taxes, transfers to the hotels and courses, green fees and carts for the three round, a goody bag and prizes. The cost for golfers will be $1,649 at Conchal and $1,099 at Diara. Non-golfers pay $400 less.

The Playa Conchal resort resembles a tropical village with walkways, fountains and botanical gardens leading down to the beach while Diara is the only hotel located on the white sand of Tamarindo Beach.

“July is a good time to come to Costa Rica as the temperatures are usually in the 80s, unlike the 90s and 100s back in Texas, and the rain usually stay away,” said Landy Blank of Costa Rica Golf Adventures.
