WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (August 4, 2010) – Junior golfers from around the country are vying to the be the next champion and will return for the second year to Kingsmill Resort & Spa’s coveted River Course during the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Junior Tournament. Kingsmill Resort & Spa will host the competition of 12 – 18 year olds August 23rd – 26th.
The Junior Tournament is part of the 2010 tour schedule that began in February 2010 and runs through November. The tournament is open to male and female players ages 12 – 18. The tournament qualifier will take place Sunday, August 22nd at Kingsmill.
The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The organization has more than 5,000 members and more than 250 alumni playing on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
