LAS VEGAS, NV - Canyon Gate Country Club announced today that it will, on September 30, participate in the 2011 ClubCorp Charity Classic, ClubCorp's major annual philanthropic open-house event. In 2010, the popular ClubCorp Charity Classic raised $1.5 million nationwide for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Augie's Quest and other deserving charities. Since its inception in 2007, ClubCorp's Charity Classic has raised nearly $6.5 million benefitting charities including MDA's Augie's Quest, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Boys & Girls Clubs, and the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation.
This year, more than 130 golf and country clubs and business and sports clubs around the country will again open their courses and dining rooms to an estimated 16,000 members, guests, and patrons for tournaments, dining events, auctions, and social extravaganzas throughout the country.

The 2011 ClubCorp Charity Classic will benefit the following deserving nonprofits:
- MDA "Augie's Quest," is an aggressive, cure-driven effort singularly focused on treatments and cures for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease).
- ClubCorp's Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.), a fund created to help ClubCorp's employees and their families by providing financial assistance in times of crisis.
- Boys & Girls Club's of Las Vegas, Started in 1961, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas currently serves more than 14,000 youth ages 5 -18 in eight facilities throughout the Valley.
