Bradenton, Fla. -- The Golf Academy at Waterlefe -- featuring the latest technology and techniques in club fitting and teaching -- will open July 30 and is currently accepting students. Located within the award-winning Waterlefe Golf Club, students will have access to a number of teaching professionals who will work with them individually or in small groups.
"The mission of The Golf Academy at Waterlefe is to provide the highest level of personalized instruction to golfers of all levels," said Doug Egly, general manager of Waterlefe Golf Club. "We are excited to expand our junior program, as well as attract more women golfers. The Academy will feature some of the most current technology including video playback, swing analysis and customized club fitting."
Students at The Golf Academy at Waterlefe will enjoy a casual atmosphere that is designed to improve low and high handicaps alike. Personalized instruction will focus on putting, the short game, irons and accuracy off the tee. Course management techniques will be employed to give students insight into how to manage their game on the course. Instructors will work with each student to develop personalized goals and develop a plan to reach these goals.
"Our Academy will not only teach people how to hit the shots, but will also teach them how to think around the course," said Steve Dietz, director of instruction. "An important element in scoring well is knowing which shot to hit and how to avoid trouble. Our staff of professionals will focus on all areas of the game."
The academy will host an Open House Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 for an opportunity to see the technology and the instruction program that will improve your game.
